It is made of silicone rubber which is nonreactive, flexible, and resistant to high temperatures. Silicone is resistant to ozone, weather, detergent, salt water, engine and transmission oil, non-petroleum brake fluid, hydraulic fluids that resist fire, vegetable and animal oils, and high molecular weight chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons. It has a Shore a hardness rating of 50 for flexibility, and has a translucent natural color. The tubing can withstand temperatures from -00øf to 500øf (350øf maximum for NSF applications). it is serializable with steam or gas for repeated use. Standard barbed fittings and lined hose clamps are recommended for most applications.
